Filling Pieces is an Amsterdam-based premium footwear and apparel brand, founded in 2009 by Guillaume Philibert. He started with a simple observation: there is a void between mainstream streetwear and luxury fashion — a place for high-quality, stylish, yet accessible (relative to luxury) footwear and apparel. His first project was low-top sneakers made from premium handcrafted leather, sold through a limited release. Thousands of people flocked to the website.
Filling Pieces produces footwear exclusively in Portugal and Spain — countries with the oldest shoemaking traditions in Europe. Leathers come from premium tanneries in France and Spain. Soles are from Margom and Vibram. At the same time, the brand maintains its streetwear DNA: Low Top Ripple, Ace Tech, Mundo — silhouettes that are simultaneously recognizable as street sneakers and justified fashion statements.
Filling Pieces collaborations include: Patta, Maharishi, Foot Patrol, Champion. The brand regularly appears in editorials by Highsnobiety, GQ, and Vogue.
