norda is a Canadian running and trail footwear brand, founded in 2021 in Montreal by husband and wife Nick and Willa Martire, along with designer Louis-Martin Tremblay and Gerard Khilo. In three years, the brand has transformed into one of the most exciting projects in the world of premium technical footwear.
The main thing that distinguishes norda from all competitors: the world's first running shoe with an upper made of bio-based Dyneema® material — a material 15 times stronger than steel at the same weight.

norda 001 — a flagship for ultra-distances
The brand's first model and still the most popular. The norda 001 is designed for long trail runs: the Dyneema® upper is virtually waterproof and wear-resistant, the Vibram® Megagrip outsole provides traction on any terrain, and the algae-based foam midsole reduces the carbon footprint. The laces are made from recycled plastic.
norda 002 — for technical distances
A more structured fit for medium distances and trail running. Retains all the material solutions of the 001, but with updated last geometry and a more targeted foot fit.
norda 003 — between trail and city
A model for those who don't want to choose between technicality and aesthetics. The norda 003 looks equally good on a mountain path and on a city street — a minimalist design that fits well into an urban look.
norda 005 — race day (2025)
Announced at UTMB Chamonix in August 2024 and presented for retail sale in March 2025. The norda 005 is a race day shoe: Vibram® Megagrip Elite outsole, maximally lightweight construction, produced in limited quantities.

The brand's philosophy in short: "When everyone goes left, we go right." The founders deliberately abandoned the mass market in favor of a highly specialized product with transparent production. Nick Martire worked at Arc’teryx before norda — and this is reflected in the approach to materials and details.
The brand grew by 300% annually in the first seasons, then stabilized at 100–200% annual growth. Collaborations with Ermenegildo Zegna Group and Satisfy confirmed norda's status in the premium segment.
