Parel Studios — functional minimalism from Copenhagen
The brand was founded in 2020 by Danish designer Michael Lennhede, who has a background in industrial design and spent over five years leading the footwear design department at the Amsterdam brand Filling Pieces.
In the design of Parel Studios, he combined engineering thinking with a restrained, almost ascetic Scandinavian aesthetic. The brand name (derived from the English word "apparel") reflects a simple philosophy — to create versatile items suitable for any activity.
The brand operates on the principle of the Apparel Research Program — a constant search for optimal solutions for the modern pace of life. How should a jacket perform when you go from the city to nature? What kind of fabric should a T-shirt be made of to be pleasant to the touch and maintain its shape? At Parel, every item is a solution to such dilemmas.
