Through selected documentary and artistic photo projects, we invite you to compare our warm nostalgic childhood memories with the turbulent and complex reality of that time. This will allow for an analysis of Ukraine's historical progress through the works and memories of era witnesses, while also better understanding our present.
• Some of the 90s legacy still influences contemporary politics and society, shaping our mindset. Some things have faded into the past like a terrible dream, which one would rather not remember but needs to know. Some things are dying out as a nostalgic aesthetic, on which the myth of a time of boundless freedom and immense opportunities grows. And some things remain with us in warm memories, street style, and film photographs.
• The second issue of the magazine is supported by the global creative platform Depositphotos. Together with them, we are preparing a powerful visual journey through the lenses of talented Ukrainian photographers and artists.
